How does a ceramic chamber affect the sound?
The ceramic chamber contributes a new tone color to your sound. The exposed ceramic on the interior of the mouthpiece contributes unique density properties and produces a strong core fundamental tone color, with a deep richness in the vibration of the air column.
Each mouthpiece is hand faced, and is play tested and balanced up to altissimo double F and above. Upon completion each is signed by Aaron Drake on the table and marked with a serial number. Each Mouthpiece is handmade from beginning to end at our production facility in Warren, New Jersey
The acoustic design of these mouthpieces is the same as our Vintage Resin line

Jazz Tenor (CRCJT)
Featuring a carefully finished rollover baffle, this model has exceptional versatility and outstanding projection capacity. The side walls are beautifully undercut to help create a warmth and incredible presence to the tone. The acoustic design is reminiscent of the great vintage mouthpieces of the 1960’s.

These high baffle mouthpieces are designed for players looking for the ability to cut through and be heard, while still maintaining a balance overtone series. This model features a high baffle with a graduated chamber transition and large chamber, similar to the Guardala Brecker I. Great for R&B, Rock and Roll, and Contemporary Jazz Fusion.

This is an excellent choice for R&B, funk, or contemporary jazz settings. Featuring a longer step type baffle, this design has great projection. You can really get that “Sandborn” affect too.

After studying the finest vintage soprano mouthpiece, we have come out with a design that incorporates the critical elements. This model features a short rollover baffle with a lower floor slope design. These elements combined with a medium / small chamber create a powerful, round tone, balanced in overtones, with great versatility, from Jazz Quartet, to Funk and R&B.
